Oksana Mas is an artist, humanist, philosopher, theorist and art ambassador who is deeply interested in exploring cities, architecture and the artistic fabric of the world we live in.
Her art is inspired by the ancient Ukrainian folk custom of krashenki: wooden eggs covered in traditional Ukrainian designs used to celebrate Easter. With them he has created spectacular artistic mosaics. Specifically, on June 20, 2012, his work "Altarpiece of Nations" was presented in St. Sophia Square in Kiev. It is made of 250,000 painted Easter eggs (Pysankas) and is a replica of the fragment of the Ghent Altarpiece created by the 15th century Flemish artists, the Van Eycks brothers.
During the thirty years of her career as an artist, Oksana Mas has participated in more than 300 solo and group exhibitions, art fairs and art debates, held in the major capitals of Europe and other important cities such as New York, Miami, Dubai and Sharjah. Her works have also been featured at renowned auctions such as Sotheby's and Christie's. Oksana Mas produces her artistic work in her Studio - Workshop in Figueres and lives between Catalonia and Ukraine. Her work can be found in various museums and private collections around the world.
