From a very young age he began to paint with his grandmother, who painted silk paintings. At the age of 18 he entered the École de Peinture Alpes de Haute Provence, where she continued for 3 years. In 2018, after an artistic experience in London, she came back to Aix-en-Provence and started to painting in abstract style on canvas or plexiglass, mainly using the palette knife. This is the time of his first exhibitions which left no one nobody indifferent His style could be defined as abstract, modern and geometric. His uncommon mastery of double perception allows him to create visual illusions. Shadows, lights, bright colours and materials interact with each other, giving a new luminosity and singular depth to his works, which seem to have a soul.
Urban architecture, the reflections of glass facades and the lights of billboards are his main sources of inspiration, which combined with the influences of great painters such as Victor Vasarely and Piet Mondrian give a great result. His style is an open door to all emotions. It is an invitation to an imaginary journey, to wander the mind, to curiosity. His painting is highly constructed, in the manner of an Architect, offering a harmonisation of light and colour. In his short career, François Noël';s work has already visited the main cities specialising in contemporary art, such as Paris, New York, Zurich, Milan and Brussels, all of which have been very well received, and he has been awarded prizes in Paris (2018, 2021 and 2022), Rome (2021) and Lecce in Italy (2021).
